iPad 1 Prices Dropping?

So, no that the iPad Mini/4 has been released, can we expect a corresponding drop in the prices for used iPad 1's? I'd like a mini, but it's just too expensive. Is $150 for an 16gb iPad likely to happen, or am I overly-optimistic?

My son has an iPad 1... It's great for him... However, after seeing my friends iPad 2 personally don't think I'd look at an iPad 1... However, I think they should soon show up for under $200 IMO.

FWIW, most iPad 1's are approaching end of battery life. Add a $50 battery replacement into your calculations.

I concur with the $200 price ceiling on iPad1s. They are not getting the latest iOS updates, either.

For $200, you can get a nice Nexus 7 tablet, B&N Nook, or Kindle Fire.

For $300, you are now in the world of iPad Mini.

I have had my iPad 1 since the first day they were available. I use it every day for a lot of surfing. The battery still goes for days without needing a charge. I think my iPad has been used as much as any and the battery is still very strong.

I'm not interested in any other tablet, and I don't mind sticking with iOS 5 either. My father has an iPad 1 he boung on laucnh and the battery is till going days between charges, so battery life doesn't bother me.

$200 is very reasonable. If I could get a 32gb/3g around $250 I'd be happy!

Now, if core duo mac mini's woud just slip under $150...

200-300 dollars seems to be about the range they are selling for on ebay. There will definitely be more hitting the market with all the upgrading soon to be happening.

3G will add at least $50 to the price.

I think I'm going to sell my top of the line iPad 1. See what I can get for it... maybe "upgrade" to a middle of the line, iPad 2.
