After reading the reviews of this stuff, I think I'll just stick with snorting Ajax to clear my sinuses like in this classic Cheech and Chong clip.

There are a lot of valid homeopathic remedies, I use quercetin/bromelain for inflammation myself (doc approved). But in this case I think all it may accomplish is helping someone drain out their sinuses.

My sinus health was turned around a few years ago when a friend turned me onto his salt water trick: he simply bought about 6 of those nebulizer bottles from the drugstore, emptied them out, and filled them with a saline solution of about 1 quart of water with 1 tablespoon of sea salt. The then placed the nebulizers all over the place, like his car, his work desk, bedside, bathroom. And then whenever he was in those places, he'd take a sniff or two of the mist. I started doing this and it completely eliminated stuffy nose, post-nasal drip, and nosebleeds (that I'd mainly get in the winter). It's been one of my minor health miracles of my life. I'm not a complete fan of the process and have a host of friends who have also gotten similar results. I just refill the bottles as needed.

I've used this company's Sinus Buster, and it really does relieve a sinus headache. I swear by it. I might add that I was a skeptic, and when it was suggested, I thought the same thoughts about it as most of you have mentioned-chicken entrails and all. But it does work. The first time you use it you just about croak from the burn up your nose, but after a couple of times of using it and knowing what to expect, it's not so bad. I get quick relief from sinus headaches with it. I have never tried the Allergy Buster, which is available at WalMart as well.

Yeah, that's what it seems like. But I've been using the Sinus Rinse saline squeeze bottle for a couple of years, and it's done a lot of good for my previously troubled sinuses. There's nothing homeopathic about it. The salt & baking soda dissolve to make the solution match your body's salinity & pH, reducing the burn. My understanding of the effects is:
- the rinse washes out rhinoviruses, allergens, & other germs that like to hang out in nasal passages;
- the fluid helps break up and carry out mucus deposits that can cause blockages & irritations
- the isotonic solution helps keep the membranes moist, since if they're dry then they're more likely to be irritated and to be susceptible to infection.

It's not a magic bullet. I still get the occasional cold. But I used to be miserable from recurring sinus problems, and now I hardly get any.
