OT: flower pots in winter

After the flowers have died do you leave the pots sitting empty or do you decorate them in some way for the winter? My grandmother uses fake plants.

We use clay pots. I wash them and stack in the shed til next year.

personally, i think its okay to acknowledge the changing seasons. empty flower pots are just that.

In our climate, if you don't get clay pots dry and store them inside, they will break even if they are empty.
