Just proves that you should NOT drop in unannounced. 
No sympathy here. Anyone who is trying to sneak into any country illegally doesn't merit any consideration
PS: all my grandparents emigrated from different parts of Europe; a process that took years to do LEGALLY.

When someone is willing to risk life and limb to get away from their current situation, it gives one pause to consider just how hopeless their situation may be.
This is not your grandparent's planet, and people like this unfortunate soul do not have the ability to time travel back to when immigration policies were less restrictive.

Well there is the stupid factor too. This has got to be one of the stupidest ways to try to sneak into a country.
I suspect the smarter types figure out smarter ways.

It seems the Stupid Factor has a not so subtle correlation to a lack of compassion and self-righteousness.
Desperate people from other countries often don't have the education some of us are lucky to have. And most of are lucky enough not to know the desperation they face.
