eBay question

I won an auction on September 28, 2005. I just received a feedback for it on December 29th.
Seems like a long time . . . does anyone know that formula that someone once posted for calculating your last possible day to leave feedback?
Just curious as to whether the seller used it.
Or is eBay reminding people to leave feedback right before the deadline now?

I suffer from the same sensitivity that you do. A few nuggets of wisdom were shared with me and I'm "trying" to incorporate them into my life. First, remember that nobody can hurt your feelings unless you let them. You can always reject what is being forced on you emotionally.
Second, nothing changes unless you change it. If you don't want the behavior to be repeated then you need to take action. Otherwise the kid has learned that his behavior is the way to get things done, because everyone lets him get away with it.
In the meantime I sympathize because I've been there.

I think it's 90 days, but I'm not sure. Check the feedback site. Was the feedback negative, and if so, do you want to file a response?

I also think it is about 90 days (the auction becomes Invalid around that same time pr about 120 days, so there is no way to leave feedback at the point).

There are reminders in your My eBay Page about feedback.

I know that some Power Sellers will often state that they leave feedback all at once, about every couple of months. Maybe that's why it took so long.

Could be.
It was curt, but positive and generic . . . as if he didn't remember the sale.

You have at least 90 days to leave feedback. You may have more than that.
