OWC Jamie-- help! (iPod problem)

I think I recall you've got some talent with odd iPod problems.
I managed to disconnect the harness of my 20 gig 4g (non-photo) from the circuit board, but not the right way-- the black block came off and left 2 rows of tiny copper leads sticking out. There's no way I'm getting that back on there.
Is this something you think you can deal with?
Thx . . .

BTW it's the folded up harness that goes to the little board for the headphone and remote jack.

Oooooh, Mr "big-man-because-I-can-change-an-iPod-battery-blindfolded" is scared of a mobo repair in a wittle-itty-bitty-ipod?

MacGuyver could do it with a gum wrapper, and the heat from a cupcake's lone birthday candle, then still have time for a hockey game before dinner....

Look at it this way - it's disconnected the leads from the logic board, not the other way around (disconnecting the leads from the plug). I applaud you if you can reattach the traces on the logic board.

I wish you THE BEST of luck. However, I know I'd not even waste my time attempting it. I am handy with a soldering iron; but I also know how to calculate ROI; and my time is not well spent working on a logic board I can replace for a reasonable price. smiling smiley
