PSA: Paypal oddity......

I ordered a drill from a local B&M store and paid with paypal for pickup a few months ago. Today I order from an online retailer that takes paypal and I see the wrong address in the shipping field (I just moved). So I go to paypal.com to update my profile address. To my surprise, there is a bunch of addresses with my name combinations (full name, full name in lower case, first and last name (upper and lowercase)) along with the address of the store I picked my order from a few months ago.

Whats up with that? I never added the address in my paypal account.

I paid with paypal out of lazyness.

You'd better change your password, and delete the bogus addresses. Might also want to look at your payment history.

What everyone else is saying. I'm off to take a look at mine right now; haven't checked it in a while.

Payment history was fine. Deleted old address and changed password.

I saw a similar thing, but all the addresses were mine, just the aforementioned variations.

This has happened with a couple/three accounts of mine, so it's something I'm doing with my address. I've since standardized on all caps and delete the others.
