She already reads it. Should I let her post too? She fills me in on threads I didn't read, such as "Should I let my girlfriend be on the forum?"

Ouch

Apologies to the anonymous forum member affected by my previous sig pic. It was my personal pic of a country expressing great grief as their leader, one of the most recognized people in the world, lay on his deathbed 8 years ago, days before he died. Like a naif, I did not realize it was offensively political, I considered it an expression of deep emotion and a reminder of the mortal coil's nature; that we all, great and small, can only hope to make a difference in our short time here, no matter the personal cost.

I'll post another pic from my work in South Africa that is, hopefully, apolitical.

Guess I should have included a big ;) Thought it would be obvious enough that if she filled me in on that thread, I'd know that. And that since she has already posted, it's a moot point...

Yep, and suggested by yours truly!

She posted once or twice with that username.

The next username's not going to be as easy to come up with but I'll try. M A V I C A ? << obviously once again ties into hubby's nick with hints of photography and computers, popular on this forum, but not necessarily her thing. So I may "let" her pick her own this time.

And RacerX next time you agreed it'd be my turn to drive the van.

I hear it's nice and comfy outside in the dawg house this time of year big grin smiley

I think we need to replace the word 'let' with the word 'encourage' in our male lexicon. The implication of enablement is superior to the assumption of control. Or something like that... I'm running out of syllables in my bovine excretion fueled thesaurus.

Someone else guessed that recently. Not related to Mavica at all. It's based on Mavic, the bike components company. I used it many years ago as I kind of liked the name, and in tech circles it's also a way to find people who are into bikes. A friend made a name plaque for me, and when he did, he spelled it with all caps and spaces.

I think she should post to ask whether you should be allowed to post to the forum.

Speaking as the girlfriend who was "let" into the forum by boyfriend Archipirata - I would have to say absolutely!! Then all us girls can talk about makeup, lingerie and pillow fights. As well as the most important topic of which fabric softener works best. ;)
