Much like the car I have.
The location of the shifter implies a crampness and the cruise control looks like an afterthought.

I got here late in the game; I'm not sure what is being asked for in the rating - the lighting of the shot or the vehicle itself? I'd say an 8 for either, in this case. The interior is nice, except for that red accent business.

Rate the car's interior, from 1 to 10, in the blink of an eye..so your FIRST thoughts. Don't analyze it, try to determine the make/model/year, etc.

Just curious.

european or overseas version? 240 kph speedo?

I prefer the tach on the hood, so you don't need to take your eyes of the road.,

Pleasing enough. 7, maybe 8.

Automatic again.

And the gauges look pretty bad, and I'm not a fan of fake wood.

I like it.

8, could go up or down one, depending on use.

After rating it, I looked for the A/C, ventilation controls. Mounted high, very good!

Like the wood. Fake or real, looks pretty good. I wonder if it's red or cherry. Maybe the lighting is giving a more than natural red cast.

Not bad though. The controls look very Toyota, but a bit more boxy. I've always like Toyota/Lexus interiors. This looks pretty close.

White on black has always been my prefs for gauges, but I like the tach on the right side. And I like white backlit numbers and indices, especially the Lexus electroluminescent panels.

I *don't like the steering wheel yoke, though. The tops of the horizontal portion are two high. For me, the ends should dip down so that you hook your thumbs on it, and your hands hang down to about 7 and 4 o'clock. The near 10 and 2 styling would put my hands at just below 9 and 3, a little too high for my taste.

But still, not bad, over all.

7 clean, well-made, no doubt; conservative but will please the folks who like to buy their Camrys with L intead of T badges. At least they made an effort to greater differentiate the ES from its sibling for this generation. The previous effort was lacking.

Why Honda and Toyota persist in using a mixture of EFL and LCD displays...I dunno.

Does Honda still use a door chime that sounds like a cheap drug store alarm clock?
