Nasty Typhoon with a very long tail moving thru S. E. Asia

The tail of this storm has a long reach . . . We have had heavy rains on and off for 2 days.
Not looking that good for Taiwan, Southern Japan or China either.

Not a good storm. Hope you have plenty of supplies.

We had the leftovers of "Chantal" strike NE Ohio last night.. wind gusts over 130 kph. Blew part of the roof off the Cleveland city hall. Fortunately the wind turbines all automagically 'feather' their blades and lock down when the wind blows this bad, or we'd be picking 300 foot long fiberglass spears out of our factory roof !

I actually forgot about "Chantal" good to hear you folks are ok.
In Central Luzon we have been fortunate also. We had a few power outages
and the usual debris from the heavy rains.

I fear for Taiwan and and the already heavily flooded Chinese cities.
The chance of more landslides is quite possible along with continued flooding.

Weather extremes continue to hammer mother earth.

Be safe out there ~!~

Yeah, China was already having another round of near record flooding in some areas. A hurricane with monster rain is not what they need, thought it might clear the extra chunky air pollution out of some cities for a couple of days.

Fortunately it's a typhoon and not a hurricane or they would be in big trouble.

Saint Cloud, Minnesota, where the weather is wonderful even when it isn't.
