Gang of Feral Cats Attacks Woman, Dog in France

One more reason to love dogs: A gang of feral cats in France attacked a woman and her poodle, forcing both victims to seek medical attention for their injuries.

The cat-attack occurred Sunday (July 21) near the city of Belfort in eastern France. The 31-year-old woman was walking her dog near a wooded area when six felines set upon her, knocking her to the ground, The Independent reports.

If you talk to the cats, I'm sure they'll say that the dog deserved it. The woman was just in the way.

I heard one crying this morning outside our back door.
It was hiding in a narrow storage area in our courtyard.

I mixed some milk and a raw egg together for a little protein and left it there
in a small dish. Later it began crying again so I opened a small can of Saba/Mackerel.
This quieted that kitteh right down.

I will check in on it in the morning .

I don't think those cats were feral; I think they were organized.

The poodle was clearly asking for it.

This may just be propaganda, since there is no end of stories about dogs attacking, and even killing, adults and children.
Most of my animal attacks have been of a winged variety; one time a pigeon took particular offence at my hat at the Rockridge BART station. After repeated dive bombings, it took aim and dropped a juicy one.
As for the four legged variety... one early Saturday morning, I was practicing starts and stops on my new motorcycle at a deserted local subdivision construction site. Along came this big burly guy walking with his big burly dog on a leash.
He pointed at me, and let go of the leash.
If I had been puttering with a Harley, instead of a Honda, I doubt that this would ended with torn pants, and a nasty gash on my left leg, and a record launch of a Honda CB500 in second gear.
