iOS 6 Weather App question
Posted by: space-time
Date: July 29, 2013 03:22PM
I want to see the weather in my hometown when I am on the road so I added my hometown to the list of places in weather app. I also have weather app show me the local weather. When I get back home, my hometown is listed twice, once the location I added and once for the current location. Is there a way to prevent this duplicate? Thanks

The first one is always local weather unless you turn off Weather in Settings>Privacy>Location Services>Weather

Yahoo has a great and free weather app--looks like the one we'll get in iOS 7

Agree on the Yahoo weather app, its gorgeous. I just wish it had more pictures and it could be the lock screen!

Second Yahoo's app, which has become my "default". Many more features than the very basic Apple one.

Also, if you want even more, check out WeatherBug.

Thanks for the yahoo app, looks nice. But I would still like to remove the duplicate mentioned above while keeping the local weather ON and also having my hometown always shown when away from home. Thanks

I think it's one of those things that you just have to deal with. No big problem.
