Fried twinkies are tasty

It's not like they dunk 'em in corn dog batter, which is kind of what we, without justification, thought they did.

Actually, it's a really fluffy, light batter, so the twinkie just comes out like a bigger twinkie. Think jumbo twinkie.

Jumbo twinkie, sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar.

Yum.

Are you sure the Mrs.-to-be wants you eating that kind of stuff?

Congrats, BTW. ;)

CornDog batter is made with Corn Meal, Fried Twinkie batter is made with flour. Why would you ever think they were made with CornDog batter? Not even the same color when fried up. CornDogs are definitely yellowish.
GtDS, you better lay off that fattening food, you got nuptials coming up and you gotta be able to squeeze into your latex catsuit for the ceremony!

I'm less concerned about the batter, than what else has been fried in the oil.

If they have been doing cod fillets and onion rings all day long, then switch to twinkies, no batter will make a difference.

I had a fried oreo once and thought *it* was decidedly gross.
