Spotlight Question and locating files
Posted by: Microman

A while back, year or two, I remember when I would pull down Spotlight, and highlight a file, that I searched, I could see its' location, and easily get to it.

Its been bothering me for a while, but now when I go to spotlight, and learch I can see the file is on my HD, but have no idea where it is.

Guide me, as to what I need to know/do

If you mouse to the file name and stop on the file name for a bit, a "tool-tip" window should appear with the file's name and path.

If you're using OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion), hover your cursor over an item in Spotlight's found files list menu. That will automatically show you a preview of the file. If you then hold down the command key, file information, including the file's path, will be shown at the bottom of the preview window.
