Who saw Jimi Hendrix live here?

Thought of this from the thread a bit below. Saw him once; May 1969 at Cobo Hall in Detroit. The week after I graduated high school. Tried on other occasions when he played the smaller venues like the Grande Ballroom and then he got big so I had to see the Experience at the large venue.
So, how many of us more Experienced forumites saw the show and how many times?

I was too young to even know who he was when he died.

I was born about a week and a half after he died.

I mourned in utero.

Saw him once with the Experience in Riverside, California. Maybe 1970 or 1971.

I'm pretty sure he died before this forum was created. Thus, no one could have seen Hendrix live here.

With some really good drugs one might have seen him live in '71.

Saw Jimi on Dick Cavitt. Wanted to go in my room and fire up my guitar, cheezy little amp and Monkey Wards fuzzbox, but my dad was asleep.

The next night, there was some old biddy at the end of the ABC Evening News griping about Jimi, much like some people do now about Lady Gaga (Miley doesn't count--she's had handlers all her life, and that's the best she can do?).

Does San Francisco in 1968 count? If so, then yes.

Forgot...
Also lived w/ him for a year when he was dead... well actually my diabetic college roommate had a life size poster of Hendrix on the wall in his room, that he used to put his used insulin syringes in for an added realistic (and very creepy) effect. Roomie's nickname was "Freakus", and well-earned.

I nearly did, but didn't for some reason. My friends who did go went to his motel (yes motel) in Shreveport and talked him into giving them a watermelon. He dropped it down to them from the 2nd floor.

I still remember the look on my dad's face the first time he saw him on Johnny Carson's show.

Bought his first album Electric Ladyland when I was in 8th grade.
My 8th grade choir teacher got me excited about him. So strange he had to go to England to get known in Seattle.
Saw him at Sicks stadium in Seattle 1970
Home of the Seattle Rainiers Baseball team.
His Brother Leon was a guitarist that was a friend of a close friend. I got to know him fairly well.

August 1968 at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia Md., a stormy night. Great guitar work, far less effort put into the vocals . But that was Jimi. It was quite an experience, I wish I could remember it better.

Second show; August 21, 1968 @ "The Dome" Va. Beach.
Opening act was the Soft Machine but no one really paid any
attention to them.

iirc, tickets were $5 smiley-excited001

I saw him when he performed with his band, The Blue Flame, at Cafe Wha? on MacDougal Street in the Village. I think it was 1966. This old Bronx Boy used to hang out there quite a bit. There and Gerde's Folk City (when I could afford it)

1968 San Francisco. I remember, a friend told me we should go see this guy who played the guitar with his teeth. We went, it was an amazing show. I fell in love with him.

I had never heard anything like it before in my life, it was wonderful.
