Waah. We lost a bike /pedestrian bridge that was part of the main trail through Cleveland a few months ago when a dump truck bed raised up at 60 mph and knocked the bridge off its foundations .

Cupertino's bridge isn't unique. There are several like it in Germany, but they aren't bike bridges.

Seems like it's unique compared to Germany.

Which one?

Apparently there's something about Cupertino's bike bridge, unique, and Germany that I'm missing.

Reminds me of traveling the US with German friends...
"this waterfall is very nice but we have the greatest waterfalls in Germany."
etc.

interesting that the roundabout that was originally there for auto traffic was removed and that intersection transformed into a more ordinary crossing of streets to improve traffic flow of passenger vehicles.
