Got my first LTE iPad (mini retina) and now need to sell old mini - pricing advice?

Very happy with the mini retina. Not only is the display what I wish it had been from day one, but it's much faster than the A5 (I believe) that's in the original mini.

This is also my first LTE iPad. Definitely thought it was worth the extra $130 in price when TMobile is offering 200MB free per month for life. But, that jump in price made me go for the 16GB model instead of the 32GB model of the original mini that I currently need to sell.

Anyway, how would you price a little over a year old (ie, no more warranty) black/slate 32GB wifi only iPad mini that's in 9.5 out of 10 condition? I have the box, charger, lightning cable and original Apple receipt though, again, it's just out of warranty.

Browsing through CL shows prices from $280 to about $350, with some of those prices including cases (I am not including anything extra).

I'm thinking $300 if I don't mind sitting and waiting, reposting every few days, etc., or anything below $280 or so for a quick sale.

What do you guys think?

Keep in mind that a refurb of the same capacity retails for $339 direct from Apple and includes a year warranty. I can't imagine a savvy buyer paying more than $300, but hey, you never know.

Yeah, you're right about that, though when one tacks on taxes, it adds a bit more to the price. But, yes, I would pay a little extra to get the warranty.

Regardless, with CL, you never know what's going to happen. It's the Wild West out there.

$339 with one year warranty for an Apple refurb. 16GB new model from Microcenter for $280. I wouldn't pay more than $280. Yes, your storage is double, but new, full warranty for the same price. You might get $300.

Yup, that was the reason for posting last week - in anticipation of getting a retina mini.

I can't imagine a savvy buyer paying more than $275.

And with the spectacular reviews coming out for the retina, you might be looking at $250 or so.

After holding off for a few years, I'm in the market for an iPad. I'm looking at the refurb 16GB Wifi/Cell Mini at the Apple store for $350. (The same without Cell is $250, (32GB is $340), at the online Apple Store. BTW, prices were significantly higher there this morning.)
I'm really only looking at one feature- the GPS. The iPad will be mostly used for marine chartplotting, with some light entertainment on the side. I really have no use for 3G/4G data plans; Wifi is good enough. For heavy use, I have a MacBook Air. (I really wish Apple sold the MacBook Air with built-in GPS, have you seen what they charge for decent chartplotters, that _only_ plot charts?)

To outfit a used Mini Wifi with a decent external GPS thingle would cost maybe $60, but there is the bother factor.
A used 32GB Mini without warranty or Cell is probably worth a _maximum_ of $250, for those paying attention. That is just the way it is, but note that Apple gear still resells at a decent fraction of the original price compared to the competition.

I have had very good experiences with Apple refurbs, but of course, Your Nautical Miles May Vary.

Eustace

(About chartplotters, I still remember the days of buying very expensive plasticized Nautical charts. Nowadays, you can get all the range or detail you need for free from the NOAA download pages. With GPS, you can view the charts electronically with your position superimposed, with course, tracking, and Velocity Over Ground superimposed. No more grease pencils.)

Thanks for the replies and pricing suggestions.

Listed it for $300 with no replies. Dropped it down to $275 and looks like I will be selling it for $250 if the potential buyer doesn't flake out.

Less than what I was hoping for but not an unreasonable price considering all variables.
