Id say 3TB @ $100 would be the sweet spot.
Great link, looks like the 3TB Toshiba at OD for $85 is the price king. If you could find/buy a coupon or whatever their "rewards" are that could make an even better deal.

I don't think you're going to be able to fit too much on a 4 gig drive these days.

There was a deal yesterday for a 4T drive for $150 from somebody.
I don't need one now, but that's my sweet spot. I'll need to to max out my Drobo.
Then I'll put the 2- and 3T HDs in a couple of Sans two-drive boxes.
