Since I am no threat to fish stocks anywhere, I know there are a lot of fish lovers here so I thought I'd post this.
I know about Atlantic cod and it's depletion but I thought there was a moratorium on cod fishing in the Atlantic. Guess not... And shark but mostly because people hate sharks and just wantonly kill them-although the worst being catching them for their fins, which are sliced off and the shark just dumped back into the ocean still alive...

There are lots of fish eggs considered "Caviar".. they should specifically say STURGEON caviar.
I have some capelin cavair that's just fine.

A dozen white croaker caught in Los Angeles Harbor. (We still have DDT deposits buried under the bottom, the result of runoff from a chemical plant that closed down long ago.)

Stories like this are usually political BS, even if some things in it are true. Monterrey Bay Aquarium and others like them is run by people who want to shut down all fisheries, and they have no credibility.

Having said that, we need to manage fisheries well, taking good care of the creation God gave us, and enjoying the food he provided.

I will enjoy some guilt free Atlantic Salmon tonight (from Costco).

That's completely absurd. If that were true then please explain why the aquarium recommends that people eat fish from well managed fisheries.

Buck... you may not have been paying attention to what's happening to the Oceans, but the short answer is that hyper-over fishing by uncontrolled fleets (China, Russia) is wreaking end of the world havoc. There are NOT always more 'fish in the sea'. While the oceans are huge, good spawning grounds are not, and fish are being hunted for protein for human populations (and animals) rather outrageously.

Careful fishing policies are trying to help manage this, but nations who don't give two hoots are driving the pelagic populations down below survivable levels.

Our Costco doesn't raise salmon like yours does. It is space limited on the corner where it is located so no room for a fish pond.
