Warehouse only and not available in all states or cities - including Texas.

Would be curious to know what the price is if anybody happens to see it in your local Costco.

Sorry about the mobile link.

Is it me, or is it incongruous to have the generic "KIRKLAND" logo on a nice bottle of Glenlivet? I guess if I were a scotch drinker, I'd be a snobby one. :/

Just put some gold foil tape over the Kirkland logo and sip away. Or chug straight outta th' bottle..

Looks like my Costco is listed, but I haven't looked. Will post back if I see the price.

Pretty sure I saw this at our Costco and was thinking - Really?! Kirkland brand?! Didn't notice the Glenlivet ...

I think it was $350-400.

I'd want to know what distillery this is from. Notice it says "Glenlivet" not "The Glenlivet" which is the official name of all scotch from "The Glenlivet" and one of the most famous makers.

This could be from most any Speyside distillery and at that price I'd expect OK but not great.

This is what The Glenlivet 1972 costs, if you can find it:

Surprised mine doesn't have it-Bloomfield, MI store. This store has the highest alcohol sales in the US.

With a little detective work, I've discovered that this is not THE Glenlivet. It is produced by Alexander Murray & Company, a producer of private label booze for companies like Costco & Trader Joe's. They do bottle some decent stuff, like Macallan under private label, but I'm almost positive that this particular bottle in not the famous "The Glenlivet".

Interesting. Kind of a bummer if it's not the real thing, but kinda cool that it is 40 years old!

So they can say "Glenlivet Distillery" but not "The Glenlivet"?

I did pick up two of the Glenlivet 40 Year Olds from Costco. I brought it home for the Thanksgiving Holiday and wow What a Dram!. I ran back and bought two more for Gifts this Christmas. The Kirkland Labels reputation for me has been always good quality at a good price. I had no doubt and after tasting have no doubt to buy more... & by the way, in the Scotch industry "what is inside the bottle is what matters" - not the label maker. This is a True Glenlivet 40 Year Old.

If you are a Lover of Glenlivet, I found a great deal at Costco for the 40 Year Old. Yes, that's right -the 40 Year Old!
for only 1/2 the price of the Distilleries own edition is the Kirkland brand Glenlivet 40 for $699.00. The only difference is the label on the outside of the bottle. It even comes with its very own numbered certificate of authenticity. At this price they won't last through the Holidays...
