Spoofing of Best Buy site...?
Posted by: freeradical

I've gotten several e-mails over the past few days like this:

Note that they say Besy Buy at the top right.

As far as I know, I have never ordered anything from Best Buy.

These e-mails originate from Australia.

I have not clicked on any links in the e-mail including the one that loads images.

It's fraudulent, and it's phishing. Got several claiming to be about Amazon shipments in December, but they didn't even look real. Forwarded them to abuse@amazon.com, but it's probably just a waste of time. I would never fall for these, but I know many, many people would.

Yeah, I got the Best Buy one just like that and another that looked the same from "Costco". Typical phishing BS as datbeme said.

GF just asked about one, I told her to forward it to webmaster@bestbuy.com.

I can't imagine that even Best Buy would take such a poorly written e-mail seriously.
