THAT...is a work of art. He should eBay that sucker and see how much he can get for it. I can see someone with the dough to spare plopping several hundred to a few thousand for it (and I may be underestimating it).

Not exactly. He dropped out of college (Vassar) to finish the project. Apparently his first two years at college kept him so busy that he couldn't work on the model at all.
