My friend who got me hooked on computers with his TRS 80 came over with the 1st edition of MacWorld. We both ended up getting a Mac and an Imagewriter.

Mac SE.

Then got into computer gaming, so I went to the dark side for 8 years.

Went back to the Mac with a 9600/350 in 1997.

First Mac: PowerBook 5300c in 1995, traded up to a 5300ce in '96.
First Apple: family //e in 1983 or so, personal IIgs in 1988 which was used until 1995 (see above).

Power Mac 7300/180 in February 1997. It was a huge purchase for me.
