Happy Lunar New Year everyone. Have a great and prosperous Year of the Horse. If you haven't started your new year resolutions, you can try again. I love resolution technicalities. wiggle smiley

A couple of years back it was the Year Of the Dragon. This promotional poster for the Chinese release of "The Desolation Of Smaug" would have been most appropriate:

Last year was truly interesting for me. One PT job ending while another began, with some vague movement towards FT or at least more work. Marriage unexpectedly rocky and will have to do the same as work status-end or begin anew if it can, but not be the same. Lost my mom to the cancer thief.

I was born in a Year of the Horse, so yeah, I'm really looking forward to what I can accomplish in 2014!

There is a Western corruption of an old Chinese proverb, that goes: "May you live in interesting times".
My last year was most uninteresting, which is to say, very interesting indeed, to me.
My Best to you, deckada, and I hope that 2014 proves to be interesting, or uninteresting, as best you see it.

Happy New Year,
i celebrated with Hunan tofu and broccoli and then danced a salsa (old Chinese dance) with the loveliest young Chinese woman I know.

And we should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once.
