And that would be..... you're not going to just leave us hanging, are you?

Or, perhaps I should have said: Start over with the right way to say your confession, my son. Bless me father, for I have sinned....

Well, I promised my wife that we go together to visit some friends. I had to bail out, I was too exhausted after a long week. She was a little bit disappointed.

I didn't watch TV though, when she got home, dinner was in the oven, Stuffed Turkey. We just finished eating. Delicious. I think she forgave me already.

Still, I feel bad, I promised her something and I didn't hold my promise.

That's pretty sad, NDad . . . reverse the situation and how do you feel? sometimes happiness is an effort . . . usually worth it . . . especially right after your New Year's resolutions . . . you made those, right???????

yeah, i do that sometimes. like tomorrow, i'll be doing that. i'm just not the social animal my wife is and i dont' like people, damnit!

kidding about that last part, but i really don't have the need to see my friends as often as it seems my wife prefers to see her friends. we've hit on a pretty good deal by having parties where lots of friends gather and i don't have to use up my weekends by being social

(the obvious conclusion is that i spend time posting to m.r.)

I have several mannequins that I utilize in place of real people. I had to get rid of the blow up type - the cats would pop them when they jumped into their laps.

Nice crowd though. When you want the best chair in the house, you just smack them in the back of the head and they crumple to the floor (the mannequins... not the cats).

Meet Jacquilen... one of my femannequins.

Does she have webbed toes? Not that I like them or anything.

You suck. You’re bad. You’ll probably fester in hell. I promised my wife I’d go out with her friend and spouse tonight. As a rule, I don’t like people. Any people. You’re all a vile mess. Anyway, I’m here after a jazz club and dancing… dancing! posting on your weasely thread of rationalization. Tired? Long week? I just went dancing for God’s sake.

You failed us tonight New.Dad…the trudging drones, the middling spouses, the everyday heroes keeping domestic tranquility. You gave them an extra arrow in their quiver tonight and we’ll have to dance because of it. Shame on you.

I was pulled out of the house to go to some 'friends' (I don't know them) get together.

First time in probably 5 - 10 years maybe. I can't remember last time.

Man, there are some annoying quirks with people. smiling smiley

But, it was an okay evening. The biggest topic was how cold everyone was trying avoid the hundreds of dollars in heating bills.

I had my first sandwich in over a month. As of yesterday I am down 27 pounds in a month and a couple of days. So, no more sandwiches.
