About to capture sports attention. How heavily do you follow this Long Hallowed Tradition?

Thanks Steve, but few here know, and even fewer want to know, that "March Madness" was a modern publicity stunt originally popularized by Bob Walsh in 1984, for television. "Mad as a March Hare" is an old phrase, but is only recently associated with the works of Lewis Carroll.
There is no identifiable link between "Alice In Wonderland" and College Basketball. The work is too sophisticated for Basketball players, who have a very limited attention span.

There is an old celebration, going back to Roman times, for those skinned in Basketball betting, or otherwise relieved of their worldly cares.
Although it varies by month, the Hides of March falls on the 15th.

I couldn't care less.

I'm sure our erstwhile President, on the other hand, will welcome this diversion from such imponderables as Syria, Ukraine, Russia, China, North Korea, not to mention. . .

You should care because there's is a chance (although very remote) that you cold win a billion smackers.

Aww...I wouldn't lump basketball players into the same group - many people of the world have done these things before and that type of narrow-mindedness never worked out too well for them, in the end.

Well, to tie into Mr Lynn's post, perhaps the President should enter this contest and when he wins (he has a pretty good record with his brackets, I believe), he can use the money to help pay down the deficit. Ha ha I am making a joke, in case you can't tell.

PS: Mr Lynn, don't worry, I imagine it doesn't take the President much longer to do that than it does for him to eat dinner, get dressed, talk to his wife and kids. or any of the many many other things that all women and men in this great land are permitted to do during the course of their day.

$tevie, I don't worry. I expect the less attention he pays to his job the better off we all are. Won't say any more, lest this get consigned to the Other Side.
