Not an actual Harbormaster, just a hardcore surfer.
The "Harbourmaster" monicker is really just a little play on words.
I have been riding "Harbour" Surfboards for a little more than 35 years now.
It's really a big advantage to have been working with the same shaper for this many years (and boards!) as the finished product (ie. the board) becomes more of a collaborative effort and therefore tends to be much more suited to the individual rider than an "off the rack" board would be.

I currently own 7 boards ranging in size from a 7'2" Bonzer to an 11' Rhinochaser (Big Wave Gun) 4 of which are Harbours.
My everyday board is a custom 9'6" HP-1 similar to this one:

Thanks for the visual. I had no idea that's what it looked like. I think it would make a great gift for a teacher, especially in the lower grades.
