That's like a whole day spent in front of the talking box.

I get woozy just thinking about it.

Well - it rained Sunday and I was pet and house sitting (2 cats and a dog)

The little dog likes TV.

Constant Gardener was very good. It is a good mystery, beautifully filmed, and great cast . I usually like most films Ralph Fiennes is in.

I also found it disturbing (Pharmaceutical Industry Evils).

I have never had much desire to go to Africa, but this movie gives a sense of the magnitude of the Vistas. The native people also seem very open and interesting. I think they used locals as opposed to actors.

Bring 'em on (the thighs, not she-males), I've got a thing for Amy Sedaris. She's Greek, hence the squatty legs that can crack coconuts.

I thought the Constant Gardner was OK but drawn out. Crash was very good.

I saw maybe the last half of Wedding Crashers this weekend. Yep, not funny!, but typical of modern, mainstream comedy movies.

When the heck is Borat coming out, anyway?

Guess I got spoiled growing up on Animal House, Caddyshack, Airplane, The Jerk, &c. &c.

you guys REALLY need to get to the art-house cinemas more. None of those films was ANYWHERE near the best movie of 2005.

That would be stuff like "Broken Flowers," "Cinderella Man" and "Good Night and Good Luck," "Capote," Al Pacino's "The Merchant of Venice," "Grizzly Man," "Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room," "Murderball," "March of the Penguins" and "Walk the Line."

Not saying the films above this post suck or anything -- they don't -- but broaden your horizons beyond the multiplex a little. Thas all I'm sayin', yo. smiling smiley

2005 was a pretty good year for movies actually.

I have seen all of the above except Broken Flowers, Grizzly Man, and Murderball.

Thank You Very Much.

I sure would not put Cinderella Man in the Best Picture running. It was so mainstream.

I don't go to the Metroplex.

Broken Flowers left me wanting. It's 'okay', but I have no desire to re-watch it.

Seen 'em all except Broken Flowers. In my opinion Crash was better than any of those you listed, but that's why they make lots of different movies!

Gawd! I now am cured of watching Bill Murray phone it in...BROKEN FLOWERS is just like another horribly frustrating movie, PARIS TEXAS. Those real-time, cinema verite' movies were such a waste of time....leave those slow-edit movies to the British empire...where the art of long winded stories over port is still the flavor of the day.
