British auction house selling two Cupertino Apple signs: Bids start at $10k

For those who are bidding, that's for both signs.

One of the signs is made of fiberglass, the other of stiff foam. The larger of the two, roughly four feet tall, used to grace the exterior of Building 3 on Apple’s campus and could be seen from Interstate 280, according to Bonhams’ website. Both were removed in 1997 and given to “a longtime Apple employee.”

I hope that price comes with an English to English translation.

I wonder if there's a paper trail to back up the given to “a longtime Apple employee.”

I have several mouse pads with that logo on a black background. New in shrinkwrap. I'm leaving them to my great-great-grandchildren to help finance their college educations.
