I'm a huge Apple fan and I've been playing since the Apple ][ but I have no memory at all of eWorld. Did anyone else use it? I was an AOL ambassador at the time.

Little bro was a mothershipper in the 80's, so I was roped into beta testing that one, too.
Used it in the course of testing, but alas, it was not the tech that prevailed.
I saw a bunch of my old eWorld stuff a year or so ago, but don't recall if it got tossed into the "Apple Memories" box, or just got tossed...

Never used it, but remember it. Think my new in box LC 580 (that I bought in the 2000s!!!!) had a join eWorld promo in the box. Didn't use AOL either. Total net newcomer here. I had email in the mid to late 1990s, but that was about it for me until late 2000 when I bought my iMac DV SE.

Not only do I remember eWorld, I also remember AppleLink.
I also remember when ftp and rn made both irrelevant, because there was The Internet, and USENET, and A/UX.

Got my in-laws online for the first time.

I was already on AOL at the time, thanks to my employee Julie, who was Internet-savvy. My Macs were all bought used back then, so I never got the eWorld software. The cartoon interface made me think it was for kids.

Twas all too pricey for me. I was a local BBS lurker and a free-AOL-month-at-a-time leech for most of the 90s.

I used it at the time. Had AOL and eWorld accounts at the same time. As I remember each had their strengths, but I don't remember what said strengths were anymore.

eWorld on an SE30 was my gateway to downloading sftware. I forget now what baud modem I was using but remember it was an excruciating experience. Got so I'd start a download just before going to bed and hope it was done by morning.
