If you scroll down to the family sharing portion of the ios 8 preview page here [
www.apple.com] you will see that there are a 10 and 6 year old siblings. My understanding was that you had to be 13 to have a "legit" iCloud account. The workarounds to get around this was to create dummy email addresses for my kids that point back to my fastmail account and fudge their birthdates. But, once you set up an account this way, you are not able to change their birthdates, etc. to the legit dates once they come of age (for obvious reasons, I know...whose birthdate actually really changes?).
So, seeing those ages on the preview page got me thinking that either Apple has changed their policy or maybe there is some Apple sanctioned way to create iCloud accounts for younger kids.
I couldn't find anything with a quick search so I thought I'd check here.
Thanks.
