OWC screwed me :-)

HA-HA.

Actually Fed-Ex couldn't do an over-nite (most likely) due to the snow in MAss..
delayed in Boston and then Raynham.
Maybe they'll try Saturday. I'll be happy.
More than likely - Monday.

2 G of OWC ram in a cold warehouse all alone all weekend.
Horrors.

And I had my laptop all unscrewed and ready at 10:00 AM.

You laugh, but I had a firewire drive that I bought in 1997 and when I was taking it apart last month I accidentally swallowed some of the screws. OWC's customer service (or NONservice) flatly refused to strain my poop and collect my missing screws, even though I had already collected several days' worth of BMs in large ziplocs.

What am I supposed to do now, OWC? Thanks for NADA.

You're kidding, right? I seem to remember a thread at dealmac chastising OWC for not selling replacement screws.

I just kept thinking...go to a freakin' hardware store. They cost 3¢ a piece.

On a in related note, my mother tells the story that she once changed the diaper of my older brother and found a skeleton key in one of his movements. Gross i know, but she was horrified the thing passed through him uneventfully and she had to wonder when he swallowed it and how. My mother definitely erred on the side of being over protective.

Being a parent I can't imagine the feeling of seeing that.
