Moto Riders: which bikes turn you on today?

I have not kept up in the last couple of years with new models (no chance of buying a new bike anyhoo), but I have noticed this Honda recently and like it.

[powersports.honda.com]

what are you liking that is new? (ok, so you'll post old bikes, too. fine.)

Sometimes it is what it is...
and then there's times when it's really better.

I still think that the Yamaha SR500 pretty much perfected the Motorcycle, except for those that were, and still are, thoroughly delusional.
I'm not alone in this opinion, just check the going valuations.

All those "cafe racer" hipsters.

Honda CBs -- any model And maybe any Norton.

never rode on the street more than a few times, scary. Mostly dirt. My first "fast" bike was Honda CR125. So fast. So fun.

There's a ton of cool new affordable bikes on the market right now: Yamaha FZ-07 and FZ-09, Honda CBR650F, CB1100 retro, CBR300R, CBR500F and R, Kawasaki Ninja 300, 650 and 1000, Suzuki V-Strom 650 and 1000, etc.

Last time I checked, Honda plans to sell that CB1100 retro for $12,000 -- hardly what I would call affordable.

It is what it is.

I'm with ya, jdc! Those old Honda CBs are what float my boat! But I like them original, not turned into cafe racers.

i ride a 2009 suzuki v-strom/dl650

easy riding vee-twin, engine, great upright ergos, can ride occasional two-up and a HUGE online support network.

not as instant quick as my previous 4cyl inline kawasaki but very comfy, can cruise all day at 80mph+ and still get 50mpg.

be well.

Oh, changing image sizes on the fly is trivial BBcode stuff. For instance:

Still too big?

There are numerous leftover 2013 models still available, being sold well below the $9995 retail price.

My mid-1970s Suzuki 2 stroke, 3 cylinder. Instant throttle response, plenty of power for my (then) light-weight physique.

I'd like to try one of the electric jobbies -

Though I think a W800 could be fun -

And am happy with my CB400f that I rode in on today -
(not mine - but similar.)

Yes, but it is so unnecessary, and any number of people here have apologized for posting oversized images, not knowing any better, because there is a better way:
****************************************************************
Let's say that you have a really big graphic that you want to post, and you'll be using the MRF version of BBcode. I'll use the example of Wikipedia's Language Tree:

This was just using the documented BBcode "img" tag. But it's a pretty big image. By specifying the displayed size, we can cut the image down to more mortal screen sizes. You do this with the undocumented "size" attribute of "img"; you may have to make a guess as to how it should scale, and replace "img" in the first bracketed tag with, in this case, "img size=750x750":

(I rarely use the tags; it's quicker for me to just type it out.)
Note that the memory size doesn't change, if that 3000x2000 pic of your favorite plant Arthur is 6MB, it will remain 6MB. It's just displayed as if were smaller.

Oh, I forgot to mention: the process works in reverse:

Original

Resized

(If it isn't a quality image to begin with, well, it isn't going to get any better, bigger.)

I haven't got the "overlay" attribute to work, which would be nice to have.

Maybe the frame, seat, and gas tank style was a rip-off, but that 2 stroke 380 was well beyond the 4 stroke of my earlier CB350. The Suzuki was fun and zippy, the Honda was just a commuter ride.

But control-clicking on an image is sooooooooo hard, plus the world revolves around me and the pedestal I live on and I shouldn't have to do anything extra.
