Of course it's graphic related but is there anything she can try before taking into Apple?



I don't know why you can't see the image?

Yes, she needs a new logic board. And you need to convert your .png files to .jpg. You can do that in Preview. The forum can't handle .png.

That isn't a 2011 machine. That is a 2008 or earlier nVidia machine. Needs a new logic board.

Okay, it says only .jpg and .gif in the Control Center so I've never bothered with .png.

It is a big problem with the MacBook pros from 2011. Now I am seeing the same reports on Imacs.
Seems to be a video card failure but Apple refuses to acknowledge it.

Does the issue persist when the screen is adjusted to different angles?

Does the issue persist if the laptop is shut down for 20 minutes and then cold-booted?
