I was able to get in 3 upper body workouts and did some moderate walking around.

Next week's goal is to get in the three upper body workouts and more walking. Maybe I will do some treadmill work but summer has me feeling really lazy.

I will be back to my regular gym schedule when vacation ends in a few weeks.

Busy week not exercising last week but I did get about a dozen miles on the treadmill and 13 miles of light interval training.

Saint Cloud, Minnesota, where the weather is wonderful even when it isn't.

I took a break this past week. I hit my f#ck it point on wednesday. I hadn't felt particularly good exercising since may, hadn't felt energetic in a couple of weeks, and, frankly, other things seemed more important than exercise.

I went for ride this morning and felt a bit better. i'm playing it by ear and will try to ease back into it when i feel ready.

I picked up an old Peugot Express 10 speed that appears to be all original, even the tires and have tuned it up and been getting 3.8 or 4.2 or so miles in a night depending on if I start out headed east or west.
West is a pretty good return grade uphill and burns a little.

Not going much further on the old rubber.

Good work guys. I've been cycling about 17 miles a day, along a fairly flat route via Oakland and Berkeley. Enjoying the Port of Oakland portion the most. The late afternoon seabreeze makes for a killer headwind.

I've just lost 18 pounds, mostly through walking a minimum of a mile and as many as 4 a day. Some moderate changes to diet but nothing crazy.

Was able to row (on a rowing machine) a 10k everyday this past week except for Saturday.

This morning's 10k put my lifetime total just over 15-million meters. My award from Concept2, the company that makes the erg, is a pair of rowing shorts and a t-shirt. I assume the Concept2 logo will be on each.

Fifteen-million meters put me just at 3/8s of the way around the world. I mentally started at the equator, went up to the North Pole, and am heading south again. I figure I just passed the 45th degree marker on I-5 in Oregon.

I've fallen into a routine:
Monday: off
Tuesday: 1.5 hour-ish snorkel (and possible short kayak)
Wednesday: 18 to 26-mile bike ride (depending on route taken and unexpected detours)
Thursday: Social kayak group 1.5-2 hours (I usually run out of juice and start heading back as the others circle one of the islands in the bay)
Friday: 18 to 26-mile bike ride
Saturday: Dealers choice (any of the above)
Sunday: Dealers choice

Over what period of time?

This time of year, I push the mower around. At least I am accomplishing something. I hate exercising for its own sake.

Glad to see people staying active, especially during the lazy days of summer. Keep at it everyone.
