Wow! I left ya hangin! Sorry...I ended up getting the Panny DMC-LX2 from J&R for $449. I havent gotten it yet as it was out of stock. Hopefully tomorrow or Wednsday. I decided to go fiull boat and get the features I probably wont use, but are there if I need them. I really wanted a small camera, but I like the having the wide shot capability which i had on my canon. We'll see how the noise issue is. I liked the SD800, but I didnt want to wait-I'm kind of impatient. Hopefully I'll have some results soon!

I'd choose the LX2 also (even though I'm a long-time Canon customer). I love the look of that thing.

I'm a longtime canon fan too, but I decided to give Panny a try. The LX2 does look sweet... I cant wait to get it!

Looks sweet, noise issues discussed here. plus, a firmware petition. go sign it.

Panasonic's venus 3 noise reduction is way to agressive...consider using noise ninja for the special stuff. This is the camera I want to buy but noise is a huge issue for me.

For my use, I dont think noise will be an issue. I'm just a regular jerk with a camera. I dont do anything fancy, and dont understand ISO from ICE. I just hope it performs well indoors.

Have to wait and see...if J&R would ship it out already!!!
