That's exactly what happened to me...and I got selected...and I was voted foreman...and it was a three week intense case.

The IRS doesn't care what country you're a citizen of...they tax you all the same. On that note, the armed forces happily draft non-citizens when there's a draft in effect. The only real difference between being a citizen and non-citizen is voting rights, some top secret clearances, and the aforementioned jury duty.

Yeah, paid my taxes like you all do.

Davester, besides the things you mention, is there any other difference? SS/Medicare benefits later on at retirement age?

I don't think so. SS/Medicare is something that comes out of the taxes we pay in, citizen or non-citizen alike. I don't think there's any difference in the benefits.

Oh, there's one more thing. You can now run for any political office except president. We're still second class citizens in that regard. Only natural born citizens of the US, Kenya, and Panama can run for president.
