Charter. Tivo. Cable Cards. New Channels
Posted by: chopper

I don't watch much television... but this woman in my house she loves her TV, her Tivo and well ...

We have Tivo units with cable cards supplied by Charter.

Charter just switched all the channels around in their move to all digital, I think. I just watch the weather, this Old House and MotoGP (Marquez!).

Now, I'm told, that the Tivo TV schedule and charter's own channel information is blown all to hell. channels are different, information suggesting THIS SHOW will be on this channel at THIS TIME are ... WRONG. My wife tried to record The Knick and got 2 hours of the Jewelery Channel instead.

Anyone have any info or suggestion on how to fix this?

Have to wait for Tivo to update their channel guides. Or maybe Tivo has a different guide for your area for all digital.

Time Warner just did the same, smells like collusion.

Your screwed. Check to see if TitanTV has a current schedule. In my experience Charter doesn't post channel information on its website but will mail you the new line-up for less than $2.

Where there is Cable involved, you are not.

Tivo probably already knows about the issue, but it wouldn't hurt to call and notify them of the problem.

When TW did this, it took a few days for my TiVo to get the new channel guide. At least TW did it just before the new TV season. But, for whatever reason, my TiVo only changed the channels on my season passes on network channels. All my cable season passes still had the old channel numbers and still weren't recording. I had to change them all (luckily, TiVo also added an "all channels" feature which made it quicker, since some shows weren't going to be on in the near future, thus the TiVo didn't know what the correct channel would be).

STL, I stand corrected and thanks! Less than two months ago I called Charter and the CSR told me the channel lineup was not online. I had earlier found a page just like the one you posted but it just showed a dozen or so channels Charter was promoting.

With the Charter channel lineup in hand, you should manually program your most important shows on the Tivo until this is resolved.
