I really hate when you ask for an Illustrator EPS... Date: October 13, 2014 09:07AM |
...and you get a craptastic bitmapped image that has simply been saved as an EPS. Or pasted into Illustrator and saved as an EPS.

This is what our rep asked...
"Can you please send us a logo in vector format like EPS."
Which I guess would be volunteering too much info as well.

Happens to me all the time and it's very frustrating trying to tell the client why it's wrong.

Back in the day, people would send me a logo cut out of the newspaper, as camera ready art.
Same thing, just different names, unfortunately.

I did it in Adobe.

I've sent the file three times. Your email server is bouncing the 300mb TIFF saved in a Publisher file.

Yup, and it would be a small mushy one with instructions to make a 6' banner...and "make it look GOOD because I got a lot more work where that came from"!. Oh joy.

Bitmapped files instead of vector files. 'Hi res' Word files. Ginormous TIFFs as email attachments. All very annoying.
But the guy who's behind I want to kick from one end of the block to the other is The Last Guy.
You know the SOB.
The one who had no trouble at all enlarging that 72 dpi grayscale TIFF into a 12 foot full color banner.
By the end of the day.
For $25.00.
That guy.
I'd like to snap that pointy horn right off his forehead shove it right up his...
If I could find him.
But the guy who's behind I want to kick from one end of the block to the other is The Last Guy.
