What's this logical fallacy called?

"A" is criticized, but it's interpreted as an all-out attack on "A" and a competing "B" is brought up for criticism by someone else, even though "B" is irrelevant to whatever "A" is doing?

I think generically speaking, that would be a fallacy of distraction.

I call it not handling criticism very well. Doesn't do well with negative feedback. My kid was like that. For adults it can be the same but being adults I'd add not taking responsibility for one's actions or performance. Misdirection is used to get the focus off the original subject.
