I sometimes use TeamViewer (or in the old days, LogMeIn) to teleport back to my office Mac when I'm traveling with my MacBook Air. But isn't there an easier way when they're both Macs? VNC or something, maybe?

Both machines are running Snow Leopard.

I've used Chicken of the VNC for some time with my SL MP at work and my SL MP at home. It has always worked OK:

i find its easier to use one of the "all in one" solutions, like teamviewer. If for no other reason than you don't have to fiddle with firewall settings, opening ports on your router, etc.

What do you find hard about TeamViewer?

My question. Ive used them all. Logmein was the best "free" version until they ran.

TV made theirs a ton easier after that, thank god, cause it was a mess before.

With TeamViewer, I don't find it particularly hard, though I sometimes get a little confused about which password I'm entering at which stage, and setting up the unattended thing. I did like LogMeIn quite well.

I just thought that a product that didn't have to handle Windows stuff could maybe be leaner or faster or something, maybe could pass keyboard shortcuts or copy-paste to the remote machine.
