Tuqqer,

My brother has had a keysmart for quite a while. Loves it! I tested it for a couple of days but found the system cumbersome due to the sheer number of keys I have to carry around with me. Definitely a different matter entirely if I had just a few keys.

One thing I'll say is I would definitely _not_ use it with a car key. The sheer weight of the car key and the rest of the keys that some people carry around can damage the key slot and such in the dash of your car. Unfortunately, I know from experience.

A locksmith and mechanic that it's a surprisingly common problem. and that car keys should be on a separate key ring from the rest of the keys. Separating them keeps the issue from occurring. 'course, this was before i switch to my Mazda which uses a keyless system (which has a standard key as a backup).

That looks good if you have standard, thin keys. The car key fobs are typically too large. I also have a key fob for my work network access. I only have 2 regular sized keys (home and office). I guess I'm sticking with a standard keyring.

I like that there is a titanium version but even that one is too big. It really needs to be instantaneous liquid metal 3d printer that will print the key that you need at that moment and be half the size.

When I first read the subject I thought it was going to be portable bluetooth digital key chain manager.

Unless your maintenance guy is an idiot, and has a separate key for every single door... then the boss has to have a HUGE keychain.
(it was like that here when I started... the then-new maintenance guy was still getting everything re-keyed... it took a couple years).

Not recommended for General Motors vehicles.

Kidding.

Sort of.

I carry one key. My car "Smart" key. I keep my Y mini-ID card with it.

I try to avoid having to carry any other keys. I have a Kevo on the front door and I usually enter/exit through the garage and leave the door in the garage unlocked.

But this would be nice if I did have several traditional keys that I needed to keep on my person.

It could be argued that the person who holds the most keys is actually the most important.

Yeah. I only have one key, the car, and I don't really "carry" it unless Im out in the car. We come in through the garage, rarely, if ever, through the front door.

Looks nice, but also like a major pita to use when you do Not want to be futzing around (eg in the dark, in a hurry, etc) trying to extract the right key. I assume they can't all be easily flicked out of the case and arrayed like a deck of cards to help you locate one.

The forthcoming Barium model will rectify that particular shortcoming. grinning smiley

You could sure argue that, but how many keys do you think the president carries? How many did Steve carry?
