Misery and pain in the basement: Duh Bears?

Must take more pills. Grossman is awful. Up until now they had him in the HOF. The Cardinals? They lost to KC.

The other team's offenses averaged a touchdown a game up until now. Bring in Brian
Griese Jr. Grossman cannot throw. Every pass is high or off the mark. One stinking first down.

It's too painful to watch. The curse of Monday Night seems to alive and well. I think I am going to switch to Studio 60 so I stop scaring the dog every time I yell at the TV!

I wish there was an open mic in the locker room at times like this. It's gonna be one hell of a bloody halftime in there.

13 down and we got a game? They are saying that on TV so we don't switch over to Welcome back Kotter reruns. Did Grossman get an arm and brain transplant? Did anybody teach Lovie Smith to go for it when you are way down? Denny Green outcoaching anybody is a miracle. Why the f@#$% are they punting with reasonably short yardage.

Worse my fantasy football team is loaded with Bears and I am falling off the curb into the gutter.

It was pretty clear that Arizona was going to blow it. And they have had a spectacular meltdown in the 4th quarter.

Their failure to capitalize on nost of those early opportunities, the stupid penalities and the inability to run the ball were other indicators of the probable outcome. Putzes. I wanted them to knock off the bears.

Absolutely unbelievable. Classic case of the final score saying absolutely nothing about how the game was played.

Sure is. Totally horrible play by the offense. And it just shows how GOOD the defense can be (although they were not too good in the first half that's obvious!!)

Forget all above posts. I knew we had them when it was 23-0. Just like the game plan. Grossman still is going to get a vicious spanking.

Boy this just sums up how bad the offense was tonight.

The Bears tonight are the first team EVER in football to come back from being down 20 points in a game and win without scoring an offensive touchdown.

Glad we have a Bye week to get some heads screwed on straight.

Good Luck!

I don't know which was worse, Grossman or the entire offensive concept. You establish your passing game by establishing some form of running game. basic. Im surprised that Lovie Smith (a defensive coach by background) didn't step in and question the offensive play calling after the first few posessions. Talk about zero rhythm on the offensive side. Even a defensive coach knows what's up with that. Still, fairly impressive defensive win.

I worry about the mental stability of kickers who blow kicks like that...not a gimme but makeable as can be. Felt kind of bad for the guy. BEARS WIN!!!

Good thing there is nothing else happening in Chicago... the entire delayed evening newscast has been dedicated to the Bears and Lou Piniella. smiling smiley

I'm not complaining- the less airtime given to Blago or Topinka, the better.

DMann, You're right on there. Chicago news is either 1) depressing 2) irritating or 3) annoying.

Since I put a video iPod in my car, and started catching up on all the podcasts I have no time to listen to at work.... my mood is better when I get home at night. smiling smiley

Boy, Grossman was absolutely horrible. What was he thinking? I'm glad they won, but boy, did the Bears look bad...

I wonder if Grossman can recover or has just been lucky till now. He was fundamentally horrible with throwing and mental mistakes. Everybody thought he was the 2nd coming of Johnny U. To me he is the 2nd coming of Ryan Leaf. Two weeks from now when the Bears play next if he is that bad in the 1st half they have to be ready to pull him and put in Griese Jr.
