Looks like the price of that one has jumped to 22.99. But the newer model is 20.99:

Why would anyone want an 'ultra-thin' DVD drive? The thinner these things are, the lesser the lifetime (in my experience). The hulking 5.25" drives were rock solid. The first laptop drives with the drawer (12.5mm) weren't too bad, but the slot loaders (9mm) always died an early death and they are even thinner?

The heck with that. What I would like is a Walkman type that will run on batteries, but still could be connected via USB to a computer, if I wanted to. Then I could get a MBA and stop carrying my 13" MBP with its optical drive, and use the CD player in small spaces like train and airplane trays.
