I would also add that now (finally!), the Ooma iOS app lets you use your account to make unlimited domestic calling. They just updated it on April 15th and it included this long-awaited feature for Ooma users.

Before, if you wanted to use the app to make calls, utilizing your home/Ooma phone number, you had to purchase minutes/time within your online account, as Ooma charged for the use of calling from your mobile device.

Very tempting! Very very tempting! I was about to buy an Obihai OBi202 to use with my Google Voice number and my wife's Google Voice number but Ooma is rock solid, too. Very very tempting to port my number to it from Vonage.

Tempting, but the adapter seems like it will be just as flakey as the old separate component accessories. Definitely a resale part.

I'm sure there's a reason why you'd want to do this, but my iPhone already makes unlimited domestic calls. Why would this be such an important feature?

A non-issue for you but could be important to other people. Not everyone has an unlimited plan.

my corporate cell phone does not allow me to call my home country. When I was on a trip where I had LTE signal, I used the OOMA App to call Father in Law right after the surgery, and OOMA App was great, I paid the low international OOMA rate vs whatever ATT would have charged even if I were allowed to make international calls.

Because you want to use your Ooma number to make a call? Because you pay for a non unlimited calling cell phone (some people pay as little as $72 for the entire year!!!!)?

Yes, your report mirrors many other reviews/comments I've read over the last few years. You could try Powerline or a WiFi router configured in client bridge mode if you want to move the Ooma box to another location.

Several reasons, as some listed. A couple more is international calling - if you have a friend or family member with Ooma (anywhere in the world), then you can call them with the app and it would be completely free. Many people also do not have unlimited plans, or use burner/pay-as-you-go phones. You might also want to call somebody and have your 'Home' number display to the person for whatever reason (i.e. not wanting them to know your mobile number, wanting them to think you are calling from your house even though you are elsewhere, etc.). Maybe your Ooma line is not just a home phone number, but your business number, and you can make (and receive) calls to that number from your mobile phone at anytime - again, without having to give away your mobile number to anybody.
