If I restore my iPhone from an iTunes backup, does it bring back the iCloud linked stuff like calendars and contacts? I was trying to set a new iCloud acct and deleted the old one. Did not know it takes all the phone contacts, reminders etc with it. (Since I was not using iCloud for any storage, I thought it did not matter. Thanks for advice.f

iCloud syncs over the Internet, not iTunes. The storage feature handles things like documents, but you'll notice Contacts, Calendars have their own switches for determining if they'll be synced.

Thanks for responding. I thought deleting the iCloud account would have not effect but it deleted all the phone contact info, so all the recent call log stuff went to plain numbers .... No names. That was why I was asking about iTunes restore.

The iTunes backup will bring your phone back to the state it was at the time of the backup. But you will want to recover your iCloud account.
