Then again, Donovan McNabb and Steve Young did all right. As far as Manziel, not sure what there was to figure out, he was pretty terrible from the start. Maybe he'll figure it out this year, maybe (probably?) not.

I am not a Tebow fan, but Doug Flutie once washed out then came back to have a small run of success. Kurt Warner couldn't make the cut either when he first started. Brett Favre was banished from Atlanta. Sometimes it takes time, but the player has to put the work in to be successful. Tebow has shown zero growth.

Young and McNabb could pass enough to offset the run guarding. Tebow may not be a trouble maker off the field but he is not a dependable NFL starting QB. When your M.O. is 3.75 quarters of horrible football and then scoring once because the defense kept you in it, you may not be a good qb. That being said, Tebow has been better than Johnny Foozeball so far. Johnny may not know where to throw it but he has a shot since he has an arm capable of throws past 10 yards.

I am quite amused by Chip Kelly and his trolling, it has reached legendary status. He traded his most productive QB for a fragile thrower who was injured on 2 non contact season ending knee injuries. Now he has a non-durable QB running more plays than he is used to, unfamiliar with the system, and Mark Sanchez and Tebow as backups. He unloaded a playmaker RB capable of not being entirely dependent on a good offensive line for a guy who carried the ball too much last year. The only way this could get better is if they added Johnny Manziel.

I think the Eagles had a pretty decent line earlier in McCoy's career. Top five at least two years ago when McCoy had his best year. Interesting to see how the swap plays out.

As far as QB, Foles packed one really impressive year around below average showings. I'm not sure he's the answer either. Sanchez is likely a perfect backup. A little above average, but not likely to threaten a capable incumbent (which might not be Bradford, well, because Bradford hasn't shown much yet). Tebow doesn't do much to inspire me. His running isn't a problem for me, it's the complete lack of the QB vision, patience, etc. that has always made me a doubter.

I could see the Eagles winning 9 or 10 games if Bradford is good (even if he later gets injured and Sanchez has to finish the season) and Murray has a good year, say 1300 YDS and 4.5+ YPC. Who's playing receiver is my question? Seriously worrisome.

The Eagles run more offensive plays per game than any other team. I think Chip Kelly is nuts to try and run this system in the NFL with the season being as long as it is. I don't see Murray holding up in this system.

This Tebow thing is going to be a huge distraction to the team IMO. If the Eagles get to the point where he is the starter, the Cowboys will win the NFC East again.

you know, Tebow bugged the hell out of me when he first started in the league. The hype was too much.

At this point? Seems like the guy deserves a solid chance. Third string? Seems reasonable.
