Unboxing

my Apple Sport Watch came in today in a long thin and very heavy box. It was 3 X 3 X 14. I was expecting a square box. Inside the plain brown box is a beautiful heavy weight white box w/ Apple Watch embossed in white on the top - kinda like the white album. Inside the white box is a white plastic rounded oblong box which clamshell opens up to reveal your watch splayed out. You get an extra half band in a slightly larger size but we will not be able to swap the bands as originally thought unless you want to go with 2 colors. It was charged up enough for me to be able to set it up and play w it a bit. I haven't really gone through many of the functions yet. Tomorrow will be a rainy day so instead of gardening I'll be exploring my watch.

Could you explain why the bands won't be able to be changed?

So the Apple Watch equivalent of "bendgate" will be people doing their best to get them drenched?

The info about the bands:
At one point in the rumoursphere, it was said that each Sport Watch would come w/ 2 sets of bands - a small/med and a med/lrg. This info brought a bunch of swap websites for those who wanted to get a second band in a different color. So, I wanted to trade my M/L blue band for a S/M green one for example but Apple only gives us one clasp side band and two sprocket hole bands. So the trading is off unless I trade for a S/M green sprocket hole band and wear a combo green/blue band. I'm sure there will be plenty of 3rd party bands coming out soon, so I'm fine for now.

Yay!, Worked! I could see mixing the band colors, it could look cool. I used to do that with my Swatches.

Congrats on the new Watch.
