Transferred my domain from godaddy to hover

In reference to this thread:

[forums.macresource.com]

Everything went very smoothly. In fact, instead of the few days that hover said it may take, it was almost instantaneous. For this, though, I had to log into my godaddy account and "accept" the transfer out of my domain. I think that sped things up.

Anyway, hover has great online/chat support (which I used) and apparently great phone support (which I did not use).

They have online tutorials on how to transfer out of godaddy as well as some other registrars.

Anyway, if anybody is on the fence, give hover a shot.

[hover.com] (full disclosure - this link gives me a $2 credit if and only if you sign up).

Also, if you're a new customer, you can use the promo code mykewasright for 10% off your order. That code is from a podcast I listen to where I heard about hover in the first place.

Yeah, I was considering snatching a few .xyz domains (related to my family) while I still can. I think hover has them on sale for 9 bucks a year right now.

Congratulations on the smooth transfer.

I've read a few near horror stories about trying to leave Go Daddy.
