Forever spinning beachball 1.07. I would upgrade but theFirefox's transfer of bookmarks has been poor. I do not want to reconstruct Bookmark toolbar.

I have never had a problem with Firefox transferring the toolbar, and I have been through all the 1.X versions and then the 1.5.X versions and now am running 2.0. I kept the old 1.5.7 version on my Mac in a folder I call Old Firefox. Then I downloaded the full 2.0 installer, and installed it and open it and I am using it for a while to be sure everything is stable. But after I installed 2.0 and ran it, I reopened the old 1.5.7 version and it still ran just fine. So I have the option of running either version. maybe that approach would work for you.

Full installer is at this link:

Use Google browser sync to backup your bookmarks.

Or, just select "Manage Bookmarks" then export the bookmarks to the desktop, then re-import them if there is a problem after the upgrade. But honestly, I've never had a problem with going from one version of FF to another. I have had problems with how Opera imports the FF shortcuts.

Minty, go to firefox preferences and clear your cache. That should improve things immensely.

Do you still have to think in Russian for version 2.0?
